Education: Graduated High School and got accepted into Cal Tech to complete a PHD in Engineering. Dropped out of CT after her parents died in a car crash and continued to teach herself code whilst living underground.

Work History: Various jobs throughout her stint at Cal Tech including waitress and Tech Support, most notably.

Personality: Bubbly, fun and outgoing, Garcia is very much considered the life of the party to those who know her. A geek to the core, she spends the majority of her time attatched to a keyboard (literally) but she knows how to let down her hair when the occasion calls for it.

The only daughter to a pair of hippies (now deceased) Garcia considers herself as quite the free spirit. She can be quite spontaneous at times because of this and this leads her to random bouts of impulse buying...

Her father instilled a love of retro-cars in her and Garcia has had no choice but to follow this, resulting in her first major 'buy' with her paycheck from the FBI; her 1957 Red Cadillac, Esther - her 'baby'.

She has her extended family in the BAU and there is nothing Garcia won't do for her team; even going as far as to hold Hotch's transfer request and Emily's resignation in hopes that they'd stay with their team.

First Impression: Garcia is friendly and approachable. She can perhaps come across as a little conceited, owing to the fact that she's damn good at her job, she knows this and will tell anyone who asks.

She's far from conceited, however, and within minutes of meeting her, it can be ascertained that Garcia is, indeed, a geek.

Physical description: Penelope has once been described by Rossi as someone who 'wears her individuality as a shield' - bold and brash, she is every inch the individual, refusing to conform what society might want her to look like which, Garcia believes, is stick-thin and in need of a good meal.

Penelope is neither of these things; she likes her food and though she is carrying around more weight than perhaps any dietician and its dog would approve of, Garcia doesn't care. She's happy and she's healthy and she's damn pretty to boot.

Manner of Dress: Loud and colourful - and changing all the time. She likes to mix up colors and styles with various accessories and wigs and she is absolutely not afraid to experiment.

Family Situation: Parents deceased - killed by a drunk driver when she was 18 year old. Four brothers - all older. Parker, 33, lives in San Francisco. Daniel and Mark (twins) - 36, live in Lawrence, Kansas. And Joe, 39, lives in Vegas.

MY NAME IS PENELOPE GARCIA, MY FRIENDS CALL ME WONDERFUL.

Garcia is the team's Computer Technician at BAU Headquarters in Quantico, VA. She is flamboyant, fun-loving, and provides the rest of the team with comic relief. She is very confident in her abilities of finding answers, and often answers her office phone with a pompous, yet joking, attitude. This self-confidence is fed by Morgan, who often initiates flirtacious banter, which Garcia seems to enjoy.

Her parents died in an auto accident due to a drunk driver when she was eighteen. Shortly after, she dropped out of Caltech and went "underground" but continued to teach herself computer coding to deal with their loss. It was also revealed that she was considered by the FBI as one of the most dangerous hackers in the world, and, when she was finally arrested after several years of mercenary hacking, they offered her an expunged record and amnesty if she agreed to join the FBI.

She is into online games, specifically MMOGs, which she played a game about Camelot with a man, but found out it was a trick to hack into the BAU's computer.

She has broken down crying several times due to the fact that one area of her job is to listen to and watch terrifying things in her office to analyze them for the team. However, according to Agent Hotchner, she "fills her office with figurines and color to remind herself to smile as the horror fills her screens."

Garcia found herself surprised when she attracted the attention of a 'smokin' hot' guy - meeting him accidentally in the coffee shop she frequents after saving the work on his computer from certain death. Against her better judgement, Garcia agreed to go on a date with, James 'Colby' Baylor - who turned out to be an UnSub named Jason Clark Battle - with the hero/homicide complex.

He shot Garcia after she flagged several open homicides to help out the families she helps council without knowing that Battle is the murderer in all of the cases. The bullet missed her heart and ricocheted into her stomach and Garcia made a full recovery.

Penelope is dating another Technical Analyst by the name of Kevin Lynch and is also the doting Godmother to JJ's baby, Henry.
